Analysis of Nursing Education Systems and Practical Integration Approaches in North and South Korea in the Process of Reunification

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this research is to provide foundational data for developing a practical integration plan for nursing education in South and North Korea, based on differences in education levels and expertise between the two countries, as part of the unification process.

Methods: This research used a descriptive approach based on previous literature such as published statistics and literature reviews.

Results: Cost-effective methods for narrowing the healthcare disparity between South and North Korea involve healthcare delivery, and nursing education plays a crucial role in training healthcare professionals. Therefore, there is a need for research on the integration of nursing education systems in South and North Korea based on the development of long-term strategies to enhance education levels and expertise of nursing personnel in North Korea.

Conclusion: Further research is needed to develop specific integration strategies for the education of nursing personnel in South and North Korea based on the mutual understanding between two countries.
